The evening before the 2023 edition of the Hong Kong Open begins, and it was time for the Opening Function at Hong Kong Football Club, whose Bronze event concluded last night.
The top seeds and many competitors in the upcoming PSA Platinum event were present, along with dignitaries and press.
Welcoming speeches from Duncan Chiu, Chairman of HK Squash, and Wilfred Ng Sau Kei, Chairman of HK Major Sports, the opening toast was made and players – joined by Denise Lam, Miss Hong Kong 2022 and Jenny Jiang, Miss Friendship of Miss Hong Kong 2023 – were invited to the podium for opening photos.
There have been a few draw changes – Gina Kennedy and Joel Makin withdrawing injured in the last 24 hours, but all in all ……
